Abstract
The author argues that till recently, neither the government, nor the courts, nor scholarship, nor-indeed-the public or the victims of law have tried to merge the formal and experiential ways of looking at law with any sense of purpose or integrity. The author argues that the law is fine, but unfortunately distorted by society. (Editor’s abstract.)
