Abstract
With the rise in consumer base, there has been a steep increase in the consumer goods. As the production of goods has increased, the need to produce merchantable goods has also come up. Hence, any product which is not fit for use has to be taken back from the market before they create customer dissatisfaction. Thus, the concept of product recall came up. It can be defined as a mechanism through which a company on its own or through a Government initiative recalls a specific product, which has already been sold in the market.
