International Journal on Consumer Law and Practice (IJCLP) (ISSN 2347-2731) invites submissions for its forthcoming 2026 issue, Vol. 14. The journal welcomes contributions from academics and practitioners of law and allied fields.

  1. ABOUT INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL ON CONSUMER LAW AND PRACTICE (IJCLP)

  2. IJCLP is a Scopus-indexed, peer-reviewed, open-access journal. It is published annually by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) under the aegis of the Chair on Consumer Law and Practice (CLAP), established by the Department of Consumer Affairs. Launched in 2013, IJCLP provides a forum for discussions on national and international best practices in consumer protection law. The journal is also indexed on HeinOnline and SCC OnLine.

    Previous issues have featured contributions by Justice AK Sikri (Judge, Supreme Court of India), HC Mult Norbert Reich (Emeritus Professor, Bremen University, Germany), Cristina Poncibò (Associate Professor, Comparative Private Law, University of Turin, Italy), Laura Zoboli (Assistant Professor, European Economic Law, University of Warsaw, Poland), James P Nehf (Professor and Cleon H Foust Fellow, Robert H McKinney School of Law Indiana University), Gail Pearson (Professor, University of Sydney, Australia), and Upendra Baxi (Emeritus Professor of Law, University of Warwick), among others.

  3. TIMELINE FOR SUBMISSION

  4. The submissions for the journal are accepted on a rolling basis round the year. However the last date for submission of the paper for Vol. XIV, 2026, is 30 May 2026.

    Themes:

    The journal especially welcomes submissions on contemporary issues in the field of consumer protection and its legal interactions. The themes listed below are merely indicative and not exhaustive.

    • Empowering consumers through clean energy transitions
    • Protecting consumers in food crisis now and in the future
    • Consumer journeys in digital finance with mobile money
    • Consumer voices in the G20;
    • Consumer protection combating greenwashing;
    • Electronic enforcement of consumer caw;
    • Durability and the right to repair
    • Digital futures: Building trusted e-commerce and generative AI
    • The themes listed above are merely indicative and not exhaustive. The Journal highly appreciates submissions on any contemporary issues in the field of Consumer Protection and its legal interactions.

      Word limit:

      • Articles including abstract (6,000-8,000 words, inclusive of footnotes).
      • Case Comment, Legislative Briefs (Up to 5,000 words, inclusive of footnotes).
      • Book Review (Up to 3,000 words, inclusive of footnotes).

      Note: The authors intending to do a book review shall submit a hard or soft copy of the book along with the consent letter from the publisher or author of the book at the address of the journal.
