Abstract
Alongside civilization development, public administration takes on the responsibility for a growing range of public services. One of the most important functions of contemporary Polish public administration, through which an important part of duties of the modern state is performed, is the function referred to as servicing administration. Its features (including citizenorientation, equality and universality of access, social demand for rendered services) predispose servicing administration to play an increasing role in the total of functions of public administration. The subject matter and manner of implementing these services, both directly by public administration bodies, as well as on their behalf by non-state actors, bring the citizen (individual) to the role of the consumer. To illustrate adapted aim of the study this paper is focused on the constitutional basis for the verification of services provided by administration, and description of character of modes of verification of services (petitions, complaints and proposals).
