Abstract

The recent surge in demolitions across India, targeting both Muslim minorities and the urban poor, highlights a significant gap in the political articulation of housing rights. Historically overlooked in India's political movements, housing justice could offer a unifying framework to address issues of labor, caste, and gender, creating a comprehensive counter-discourse against state and capital violence.
