Abstract
Niger's revised Penal Code, enacted by the ruling military junta, severely compromises the human rights of intersex individuals by criminalizing non-normative gender identities and expressions. The legislation establishes a restrictive framework that facilitates forced, non-consensual medical interventions on intersex children, violating fundamental international standards regarding bodily autonomy and physical integrity.
