Excerpt: "As cities worldwide work towards achieving the goals set under Sustainable Development Goal 13 on climate action, India plays a critical role in mitigating climate change as the seventh most affected country in terms of climate extremes. The country is a party to the Paris Agreement and Montreal Protocol, and has made significant pledges to reduce its carbon emissions at the 26th Conference of Parties.
