Call for Submissions – Volume 12(1)

The National Law School of India Business Law Review (“NLSBLR”) invites submissions of original, unpublished manuscripts for consideration for its upcoming Volume 12(1).

The NLSBLR is India’s leading business and commercial law publication and is published by the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, consistently India’s top-ranked Law School. Over the past 12 years, we have had the pleasure and privilege of featuring articles written by leading luminaries in the legal field, such as Justice V. Ramasubramanian (Judge, Supreme Court of India), Dr. Donna Huang (Director of ADR, ICC North Asia), Prof. Ingeborg Schwenzer (Leading Authority on the CISG, Professor Emerita at the University of Basel), Mr. Cesar Pereira (Deputy President, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators), Mr. Philip R. Wood CBE, KC (Yorke Distinguished Fellow, University of Cambridge), Prof. (Dr.) James J. Nedumpara (Head, Centre for Trade and Investment Law, WTO), Prof. (Dr.) Régis Bismuth (Professor, SciencesPo Law School), Sr. Adv. Submission Guidelines

Categories and Word Limit: We accept Articles (6,000 to 10,000 words), Essays (4,000 to 6,000 words), Case/Legislative Comments (1,500 to 3,000 words), and Book Reviews (1,500 to 3,000 words). However, we are flexible with the word limit in compelling circumstances.

Timeline: The deadline for submissions is 31 January 2026.

Citation Format: We conform to the OSCOLA Citation Standard (4th Edition).

Co-authorship: We are flexible and welcome co-authored submissions as well.

Submission Process

Please make your submission via DigitalCommons. The steps for the same can be found here.

Submissions that pass the initial editorial review are subjected to a double-blind peer review process. The Editorial Board endeavours to communicate the outcome of the first round of review within six weeks from the date of submission.

Additional Guidelines

Submissions must be made in Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Manuscripts must be anonymised and must not contain any identifying information. Manuscripts must include an abstract of approximately 150 words.
